About the Wine

Nebbiolo (“Nebby-oh-low”) is a full-bodied red wine, translucent with a delicate smell. But don't be fooled, Nebbiolo has a robust tannin structure with high acidity. Shining through are hints of cherry and raspberry along with aromas of rose and anise. Not widely grown in California we were fortunate to find these grapes in San Benito county. Hand-picked, bin fermented and aged in American oak for 14 months. Because of the high tannins, this is a perfect bottle to age for a number of years yet can be enjoyed now. On the label is Lou Becherucci, father and grandfather. Just like Nebbiolo he was subtle yet bold, simple yet complex. 60 cases produced
