Profile & Story
Damilano has farmed in Barolo since 1890 (family-run since Giacomo Damilano took over in 1935). Lecinquevigne ("the five vineyards") is the estate's entry-level cru Barolo, a 100% Nebbiolo blend from five sites across Barolo's key communes -- including Cannubi, Brunate, Liste, Cerequio and Raviole -- fermented at controlled temperature for about 15 days and aged in large oak botti.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with orange-tinged reflections; an intense sequence of rose, leather and tobacco with emerging violet and tar, ample and enveloping on the palate with a soft, long finish.
