Domaine Louis Moreau farms about 22 acres in the Vau Ligneau premier cru (commune of Beines, left bank of the Serein) -- historically also spelled 'Vaulignot'; Louis Moreau adopted the official 'Vau Ligneau' spelling used on Chablis's cadastral maps starting with the 2018 vintage. It is part of the 50-hectare, Beines-based Domaine Louis Moreau, which also holds Grand Cru and other Premier Cru parcels across Chablis.
Tasting Notes
Citrus and fresh mineral notes on the nose, with a touch of acidity and buttery suppleness on the palate; the higher clay content of this cru gives a rounder profile and a spicy finish.

Excellent with oysters, seafood, or lobster in butter sauce.
