Kindzmarauli is one of Georgia's best-known protected appellations: a naturally semi-sweet red made from Saperavi grown in a defined micro-zone of Kakheti, where fermentation is stopped early to retain natural residual sugar. Mildiani Family Winery bottles its Kindzmarauli from Saperavi grown in the Alazani Valley.
Tasting Notes
Medium dogwood in color, with a well-developed aroma of ripe red fruit and berries -- blackberry, cherry, and ripe cranberry are especially expressive. Fresh and energetic on the palate, with young, pleasant tannins and a natural sweetness harmonized by light acidity.
Pairing Recommendation
Recommended with lightly roasted red meat steaks and young cheese.
