Faust Cabernet Sauvignon — "a modern classic, unbound by convention" — is blended primarily from the distinctive Coombsville estate, complemented by fruit from other select Napa Valley vineyards, and sets the bar each year for bold, elegantly balanced Napa Valley Cabernet. The 2022 is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in French oak (25% new).
Tasting Notes
Violets and toasted baking spice open on the nose, with savoury layers of slate and cedar in the background. Concentrated, perfectly ripe black cherry is spiced with the wine's signature star anise and framed by fine, chalky tannins that unfold into richness on the palate. Mouthwatering freshness sustains the dance of fruit and minerality through a lingering finish.
