Rosé Champagne Brut
NV, Champagne, France
Profile & Story
Laurent-Perrier has specialised in rosé Champagne since 1968, when Bernard de Nonancourt launched the Cuvée Rosé using a maceration technique. Made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from 10 crus in the Montagne de Reims and aged about five years, the maceration captures the richest and most subtle expression of Pinot Noir, with ripe red-fruit aromas, high intensity and great freshness.
Tasting Notes
Elegant in colour, shifting naturally from a pretty raspberry hue to salmon pink. A precise nose of extraordinary freshness offers a wide range of red fruits: raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry and black cherry. A fresh, sharp attack leads to a supple, rounded palate that gives the sensation of plunging into a basket of freshly picked red berries.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs with exotic and Asian cuisines, marinated fish, Parma ham, Chaource cheese and red-fruit desserts. Chef Christian Le Squer suggests black rice with creamy black pudding and passion-fruit juice.
