The Les Vignes du Baron cuvee comes from vineyards in the Sancerre appellation on the Upper Loire, produced under the Chateau de Thauvenay label. Sauvignon Blanc is the sole permitted white grape of Sancerre, and the appellation's Kimmeridgian limestone and flinty soils are known for giving the variety a distinctly mineral expression.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold with green tints. Aromas of citrus, white flowers and flint lead to a racy, mineral palate with the appellation's hallmark bright acidity and long finish.

A textbook pairing with goat cheese (especially Crottin de Chavignol), oysters, and seafood.
