La Scolca has been a benchmark Gavi producer for over a century, and the family registered the Gavi dei Gavi trademark in 1969. Grown in the hills of the Gavi zone in southeastern Piemonte, the wine is often nicknamed the 'Chablis of Piemonte' for its structure and ageability.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw-green in color, with aromas of white flowers, citrus and green apple. The Cortese grape gives a crisp, mineral, almost saline palate with real cellaring potential.
