Piaggia, founded in 1990 by Mauro Vannucci just outside Florence, is one of the leading estates of the Carmignano appellation. Pietranera is their everyday expression of the estate's Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Notes
Deep, thick ruby red; complex aromas of forest-fruit jam, sweet spice, thyme and cocoa lead to a full-bodied, well-balanced palate with a persistent finish.
