About the Wine

The etymology of the name refers to a geographical indication, in fact, designating an ancient area of the city of Matelica. Petrara looks like an evolved wine with an important maturation; the grapes it comes from are South facing and enjoy, therefore, greater exposure to sunlight. Soil typology: clay-calcareous; Grape variety: Verdicchio 100%; Grape yield per hectare: 90/100 ql/ha; Aging: 6 months in stainless steel tanks and 2 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes

Fresh golden apple and melon tasting notes, wrapped around a crisp acidity that calls out for pecorino cheese, olives, and charcuterie.
