Cloudy Bay, established in 1985 in Marlborough's Wairau Valley on New Zealand's South Island, was instrumental in building New Zealand's international reputation for Sauvignon Blanc. ABV approximately 13.5%.
Tasting Notes
Restrained and elegant on the nose, unfurling to notes of citrus, lime leaf, apricot and orange blossom; the palate is mouthwatering with passionfruit, white stone fruit and grapefruit, carried by a saline edge to a long, concentrated finish.
Pairing Recommendation
A natural match for seafood, tempura oysters, sashimi, steamed mussels with garlic and citrus, as well as green salads and goat cheese.
