Profile & Story
Gerard Bertrand is a leading biodynamic producer in the Languedoc. Cote des Roses is an AOP Languedoc rose blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault from varied terroir, hard garrigue limestone, schist and river gravel, under a warm, wind-tempered Mediterranean climate. Grapes are harvested and vinified separately by variety, destemmed and chilled before pressing, fermented 15-30+ days depending on desired profile, then lightly fined and bottled early to preserve freshness.
Tasting Notes
Pale, brilliant pink with faint bluish highlights softening toward orange with age; nose of red fruit, blackcurrant and redcurrant alongside rose and grapefruit; fresh, indulgent palate with good balance and a persistent, fruity finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Recommended by the producer as an aperitif, or with shellfish and subtly spiced dishes; served at 10C.
