Profile & Story
Two Hands Wines was founded in 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz around showcasing single-region Australian Shiraz. Angel's Share, made since 2000, takes its name from the wine that evaporates from the barrel during maturation. McLaren Vale fruit is fermented in open tanks with daily pump-overs and about 15 days on skins, then matured 14 months in French oak hogsheads (12% new), lightly fined and unfiltered; finishes at 14.2% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Magenta to black in color, with dried herbs, fresh mint, clove, coffee, chocolate, and sauteed plum on the nose. Rich and powerful on the palate, with juicy, elongated fruit balanced by broad tannins, finishing smooth, bright, and creamy.

The winery suggests pairing with barbecue meats, slow-cooked lamb, roasted vegetables, or simply by the fire.
