Profile & Story
Asnella is a single-vineyard Vinho Verde from the Basto sub-region of northern Portugal, planted in 1992 on a geological fault line where granite and schist soils meet -- the granite lending richness and weight, the schist contributing minerality and precision. It's a 60% Arinto/40% Loureiro blend aged six months in stainless steel, a more serious, terroir-driven style than the region's typical light aperitif exports.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant green-yellow, with lime zest, green apple, wet stone, and white pepper on the nose; the palate is clean, concentrated, and incisive, showing dry citrus, unripe pear, and slate through a mineral-driven finish.

Pairs naturally with oysters, shrimp, clams, mussels, and other seafood, as well as East Asian cuisine.
