Profile & Story

Chateau de Targe is a family-run, organic-certified estate in Parnay, perched on the tuffeau cliffs above the Loire in the Saumur appellation, and a member of the Vignerons Independants. Chenin de Targe is a 100% Chenin Blanc made for immediate drinking -- hand-harvested early for freshness, direct-pressed, fermented over about four weeks, and bottled in spring to lock in its citrus aromatics.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and mineral-driven, with bright citrus character and light salinity; vintage to vintage the wine leans crisp and chiseled rather than round, staying true to its cool Loire origins.
