Profile & Story

Mas de Daumas Gassac is the Guibert family estate in the Gassac valley outside Aniane, farmed organically since Aime Guibert bought it in 1974 and long credited with proving that the Languedoc could produce serious, ageworthy wine outside the appellation hierarchy. Guilhem is the family's Moulin de Gassac line, drawn from organically farmed vineyards on the clay-limestone soils close to the Etang de Thau. The rose is 40% Grenache, 40% Carignan and 20% Cinsault, completely de-stemmed and direct-pressed, then matured five to six months in stainless steel tank and bottled at 12.5% ABV.

Tasting Notes

A lively, vivid rose-pink with salmon hints. The nose is pleasant and intense, floral with notes of citrus, and the palate is well balanced with freshness, combining redcurrant and red berries into a tight, splendidly fresh and long finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with grilled meats, vegetable salads and fruit desserts.
