Profile & Story

Maison Mirabeau was founded in 2009 by Stephen and Jeany Cronk, who left south-west London for the Provencal village of Cotignac to make world-class rose, and today farm Domaine Mirabeau regeneratively as a certified B Corp. Pure is their Cotes de Provence cuvee, a blend of 58% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 16% Cinsault and 8% Rolle, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre. The fruit is night-harvested and gently direct-pressed with a period of partial liquid maceration (stabulation) before temperature-controlled fermentation, with the wine protected under inert gas throughout and bottled at 12.8% ABV.

Tasting Notes

A pale rose with peachy reflections. The nose opens on white fruits reminiscent of sun-kissed vineyard peaches, accompanied by herbaceous Provencal garrigue and a hint of mint, before evolving into a burst of vibrant orange and zesty clementine, while the palate has a silky texture complemented by a mouth-watering mineral note.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs with grilled John Dory or fresh sashimi, fine red meats, vegetarian dishes such as marinated tofu and chopped vegetable salad, and desserts including matcha ice cream or a crisp apple tart.
