Profile & Story
Alain and Agnès Carrère founded Domaine de Majas in 1992 in Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, in the foothills of the Pyrénées, converting the estate to organic farming with guidance from Tom Lubbe of Domaine Matassa. The Blanc blends Macabeu, Vermentino (Rolle) and Carignan Blanc, fermented with native yeasts and aged on the lees in concrete vats.
Tasting Notes
Zesty citrus, fresh-cut herbs, just-ripened yellow apple and crunchy pear lead to a saline, sea-spray finish. Restaurant's Notes: This blend of Macabeu, Vermentino/Rolle, and Carignan Blanc from SE France come together and showcase a gorgeous white wine with pure fruit and beachy minerality.
