Profile & Story
Where's Linus? is a house label created by importer Jenny & François Selections in collaboration with Northern California winemaker Chris Christensen of Bodkin Wines. This cloudy, unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the Springer Vineyard, a certified sustainably-farmed, family-owned site in the Big Valley District AVA of Lake County, outside Kelseyville. The grapes are pressed and left to ferment spontaneously with ambient yeast in stainless steel over about two weeks, then rested on their own fermentation lees, which are kept in suspension by stirring the tank, before being bottled without fining or filtration.
Tasting Notes
Naturally hazy in the glass from being bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a fresh, citrus-driven profile and the bright, sunny acidity typical of Lake County Sauvignon Blanc. Restaurant's Notes: Grapes sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Sunshine in a battle. This Sauvignon Blanc is unfiltered, a bit cloudy and very delicious. The fruit comes from the Springer vineyard in the Big Valley District Ava of Lake County
