Domaine La Taupe lies on the ancient riverbed of the Cher between Thésée and Monthou-sur-Cher in the Loire Valley, where winemaker Bertjan Mol farms organically and biodynamically, certified by Ecocert and Demeter, to make natural wines that express the Touraine terroir. Surin is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from vines on limestone subsoils. The hand-harvested grapes ferment spontaneously, and the wine matures in old oak barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulfites.

Pairs well with shellfish, white meat and vegetables, and is especially at home with experimental Nordic cuisine.
