No Es Pituko, Chilean slang for not fancy, is the natural wine range of Viña Echeverría, a family estate in the Entre Cordilleras area of Chile's Curicó Valley. Every wine in the range is made from sustainably farmed estate grapes, fermented with the yeasts present on the fruit and made without added sulfur, sugar or acid adjustments. This orange wine is Sauvignon Blanc from the family's single vineyard, planted with ungrafted selected clones from pre-phylloxera French rootstock and hand-picked into small boxes. The grapes are destemmed, crushed and fermented with natural yeast in open tanks, then left on their skins for an additional 60 days. The wine goes through full malolactic fermentation and rests on its own lees in stainless steel, and is bottled without stabilization, filtration or added sulfites.
