Schplïnk is produced by Weingut Norbert Bauer, an eleventh-generation family estate in Jetzelsdorf in the Pulkautal area of Austria's Weinviertel, farming roughly 90 sustainably managed hectares spread across more than 100 individual vineyard parcels. Grapes for this cuvee are hand-harvested and destemmed, then given a short skin maceration before a slow spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes
Racy and vibrant, with Meyer lemon brightness and a lively dash of white pepper. Crisp green apple carries through to herbaceous notes of mint and basil, closing on a lean, mineral-driven finish.
