Pago del Vicario was founded in 2000 on an estate between the Guadiana river and the Montes de Toledo, in the sun-drenched vineyards of Ciudad Real in La Mancha, where the vines struggle but give concentrated, expressive fruit. Blanco de Tempranillo is the winery's deliberately unconventional bottling: a white wine made by the blanc de noir method from red Tempranillo grapes, an emblematic Spanish variety reinterpreted as something carefree and refreshing without giving up aromatic complexity. 14% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Pale, bright yellow. The nose is citrusy and dynamic, with grapefruit, lemon, loquat and passion fruit, complemented by hints of Mediterranean herbs such as fennel, lavender and bay leaf and a delicate smoky background. Broad, fresh and creamy on the palate, with marked acidity that lifts notes of lemon, grapefruit and green apple, while ripe white plum brings balance and a juicy sensation.
