Bodega Picos de Cabariezo works from Cabezon de Liebana, in the mountains of Cantabria. Finca Morillas is produced mainly from Mencia with a small contribution of Syrah, from old mountain vines harvested by hand at slight over-ripeness, and aged, depending on the year, for about twelve months in French oak barrels, kept deliberately in the background so the terroir expresses itself easily and elegantly. It is an Atlantic-styled red that retains all its fruit and final freshness. Awards include 92 points and five stars in the Penin Guide 2017 and gold at the International Wine and Spirits Awards in 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
