Profile & Story

Familia Carvalho-Martins farms at Quinta Vale do Olmo in the Douro, and Golpe is drawn from the estate's oldest vines, more than 25 years old. It blends Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca, hand-harvested in September into small boxes. Fermentation is in stainless steel with skin contact; a portion of the wine then ages 18 months in new French oak before malolactic fermentation.
