Zeni Valpolicella Ripasso

Cantina Zeni has been growing and producing classic Veronese wines since 1870, based in the hills of Bardolino with wineries in both Bardolino and Valpolicella (60 hectares of estate vines). The Marogne is a Ripasso selection built on low yields per hectare and careful grape selection: after the initial fermentation of the base Valpolicella, the young wine is 're-passed' over the pressed, raisined skins left over from Amarone production, deepening color, aroma intensity, body and structure. The blend is approximately 60% Corvina, 30% Rondinella and 10% Molinara from the Valpolicella Classico zone.

The producer notes it pairs easily with many Veronese and international dishes; commonly recommended with roasted meats, game, or aged cheeses.
