Made from Xinomavro vines at least 40 years old on small scattered parcels around Agios Panteleimonas within PDO Amyndeon, Greece's coldest wine region, on a plateau at 600m with poor sandy soils. Hand/table-sorted, direct-pressed, fermented in stainless steel at 17-19C, aged on fine lees ~3 months. Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris; this wine is made by 5th-generation winemaker Stellios Boutaris.
Tasting Notes
Pale salmon color. Nose opens with dominant floral aromas, followed by stone fruit and subtle herbal notes. Fruity palate with very good acidity and a harmonious finish.
