Profile & Story
Corta y Raspa's Mira-Flores comes from the Pago Miraflores vineyard in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, farmed organically at 30–60 meters on albariza chalk soils under Atlantic influence. The wine is made by the group of growers behind the project from the eponymous Pepe García Gordillo parcel, fruit previously sold to the Barbiana bodega for Manzanilla. This 100% Palomino Fino wine ages roughly a year in used wooden butts, fully topped and without flor development.
Tasting Notes
The producer describes the wine as showing curry leaf and ozone alongside a saline, margarita-salt-rim edge, subtle oceanic notes, a touch of sour herb, and cactus fruit; the palate is round and soft yet steely and well-defined — light without being thin — with a cereal, savory character, a sour tang, an easy finish, and lovely spice.
