Les Vins de Lavie is the small estate of Guillaume Lavie and Adèle Lemoine, who farm 1.5 hectares near Nantes in the Muscadet region of the Loire Valley. Lavie discovered natural wine while working in Ardèche and later worked in Burgundy and managed vineyards in Bugey and Savoie before settling in Muscadet; the couple's vineyard is in organic conversion, and the wines are made with minimal intervention — usually unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfur. Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, the appellation for this wine, is made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape grown in the granite and schist soils east and south of Nantes.
