Profile & Story

Hilberg Pasquero is a small biodynamic estate in Priocca, in Piemonte's Roero, founded in the early 1980s by Annette Hilberg and Michele Pasquero. 'Per Alessandra' is a 100% Barbera d'Alba from a 2.8-acre, south/southwest-facing vineyard on sandy, chalky marl soil at roughly 780 feet elevation, fermented five days in stainless steel and aged twelve months in steel plus two months in bottle.

Tasting Notes

Per Alessandra is fruit-driven and exceptionally lively, loaded with raspberry and strawberry character typical of Barbera.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with red-sauce pasta, pizza, and salami.
