Profile & Story
Cascina Iuli is a family estate in Montaldo di Cerrina, in Piemonte's Monferrato, run by winemaker Fabrizio Iuli. 'Natalin' is named for his grandfather Gioacchino Natale — known to all as 'Natalin' — whose favorite grape was Grignolino; in 2016 Fabrizio replanted the variety on the same hillside his grandfather first planted, using the same traditional methods.
Tasting Notes
Fermented and aged in cement for six to eight months using indigenous yeasts, then two months in bottle without fining or filtration, Natalin shows a fresh, youthful character with delicate, gentle tannins typical of Grignolino.
