Profile & Story

Elk Cove Vineyards farms some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Oregon, planted in 1985 at its estate in Gaston in the northern Willamette Valley. The 2024 bottling is hand-harvested from multiple high-density estate blocks ranging from 8 to 50 years old. Blended with 4% Gewürztraminer and 2% Muscat, whole-cluster pressed, cold-fermented in small stainless steel tanks; picked at 23 Brix, finishing at 3.6 g/L residual sugar, pH 3.25.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw in color, aromas of melon, honeysuckle, and freshly baked apple tart. Crisp bright palate of juicy green apple and Asian pear with a slight confectionary note, pithy peach-skin finish.
