Royal Tokaji's Aszú berries for the 2018 5 Puttonyos were macerated in fermenting must for two days before pressing. 2018 was an exceptional vintage — the earliest harvest in living memory, warm dry autumn favoring raisining over botrytis, though sporadic showers still allowed quality Aszú berries. The wine aged in 300- and 500-litre Hungarian oak casks underground for over two years, final blend assembled spring 2021. 11.5% ABV, 162.4 g/l residual sugar, 7.04 g/l acidity.

Serve cool as an aperitif, with fruit-based desserts or hard cheeses — or on its own instead of a dessert.
