Weingut Bründlmayer is based in Langenlois, Kamptal, Austria. The family owns 12 of the 200 total terraces at the historic center of the Zöbinger Heiligenstein — the oldest documented and arguably most famous vineyard in the Kamptal, on approximately 270-million-year-old Permian desert sandstone. Classified 1ÖTW (Erste Lage) Kamptal DAC. Harvested October 2-3, 2023. ABV 13%.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant, multi-layered and fresh bouquet featuring vineyard peaches, white flowers and lemon (cedro) peel with cool spice notes; dry and fresh on the palate, crystal clear and graceful, with lemon zest and white currant plus a touch of juvenile yeast; dense and energetic at first, evolving into finesse with a long mineral and spicy finish — an excellent representation of this great Heiligenstein vintage.
