Weingut Seehof is a fourth-generation family estate in Westhofen, Rheinhessen, run by winemaker Florian Fauth, whose sister Julia Keller is married to Klaus-Peter Keller of the neighboring, globally renowned Weingut Keller. Seehof farms 15-16.5 hectares including parcels in the celebrated Westhofen grand cru sites Kirchspiel and Morstein, plus a parcel in Steingrube just below Keller's own Abtserde holding. The estate is known both for increasingly self-assured dry, site-designated Rieslings and for excellent sweet wines up to Trockenbeerenauslese. 'Fass 9' ('Barrel 9') is a single-cask Auslese bottling from Westhofen fruit, hand-harvested and fermented with temperature-controlled cool fermentation in stainless steel; a small-lot selection built around richness balanced by Rheinhessen limestone-driven acidity.
