Domaine Paul Prieur & Fils is a family estate in Verdigny, at the foot of the Monts Damnes slope in Sancerre, farmed by the Prieur family for eleven generations and currently run by Luc Prieur alongside his father Didier. Their 14.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc sit on the limestone soils of Verdigny and Chavignol. The grapes are pneumatically pressed and vinified with no added sulfur, then aged in stainless steel without filtration.
Tasting Notes
A typical Sancerre expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Verdigny's limestone soils: pale gold in color, with citrus and gooseberry aromas, a flinty, chalky minerality and crisp, bracing acidity typical of the appellation.
