Homestead Hill Grenache

Profile & Story

Vinification: 3.5 tons of Tinta and VNS-3 Grenache were hand-harvested from our estate, Homestead Hill Vineyard on 9/11at 23 brix. The fruit was destemmed, and the berries were hand-sorted before being cold-soaked for 7 days. Fermentations began, naturally and spontaneously, and were basket pressed after fermentation. Élevage: The wine was raised in 30HL concrete tulip, where native bacteria carried out malolactic fermentation. The was aged for 12 months and then bottled, unfiltered and unfined. This wine was crafted without the use of added enzymes, acids, tannins or nutrients. SO2 Level: 36 mg/L
