Domaine Julie Benau (whose 'Les Bidules' label is distributed by MC² imports) sits in the Languedoc-Roussillon near Sète, between Béziers and Montpellier. Julie returned home in 1999 to make natural wine from estate fruit; vineyards are biodynamically farmed with southern exposure, shelter from northwest winds, and oceanic cooling breezes. The estate focuses on Picpoul — the area's signature grape — and produces a small amount of rosé alongside. Wines are bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal SO₂.
