Profile & Story
Bourgueil is a Loire Valley appellation in Touraine, on the north bank of the Loire, planted almost entirely to Cabernet Franc. Its vines grow on two main soil types: gravel and sand terraces near the river, which give lighter, fruit-forward wines, and tuffeau-clay slopes, which give fuller, more structured wines that age well.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby, with red currant, raspberry, and violet aromas lifted by notes of graphite and green peppercorn. The palate is medium-bodied, with fresh acidity and fine tannins, and bottle age brings savory hints of dried herbs and forest floor.

Charcuterie, roast or grilled poultry, and lighter lamb dishes.
