Domaine de la Madone is the family estate of brothers Olivier and Bruno Bererd in Le Perréon, Beaujolais, farming vines 50 to 100 years old on very steep slopes of decomposed pink granite above 450 meters, in a village many consider worthy of cru status. The wine is 100% Gamay from practicing-organic vineyards farmed without herbicides or pesticides, hand-harvested into small crates, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged in tank to preserve its fresh, juicy fruit.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of black cherry, blueberry, and a touch of licorice. Medium to full-bodied and fleshy, with a deep core of juicy dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and lively acidity.
