Marco de Bartoli was one of Sicily's most visionary winemakers, known for reviving traditional Marsala while also championing native Sicilian varieties. The ‘Lucido’ clone of Catarratto — named for the shining, less-powdery surface of its berries — comes from 2 hectares of 15-year-old, organically farmed vines on sandy loam. The fruit is whole-cluster pressed, naturally settled and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged on fine lees for 7 months.
