Lieu Dit Winery, founded in 2011, focuses exclusively on grape varieties indigenous to France's Loire Valley grown in Santa Barbara County. Blanc de Mer draws from some of the region's most storied vineyards -- McGinley, China Blue, Happy Canyon and Jurassic Park -- blending Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Each lot is vinified separately with native yeast, then aged in a mix of neutral oak and stainless steel.

Pairing Recommendation

Equally at home with oysters and grilled shrimp as with roast chicken or a sunny afternoon on its own.
