Perlegos Family Wine Co. is run by brothers John and Jeff Perlegos, raised in Lodi, California to Greek parents who farmed vineyards there. The Thera Block Assyrtiko comes from a 1.5-acre block grafted in 2021 in Lodi's Clements Hills AVA -- 'Thera' is the ancient name for Santorini, the Greek island famous for Assyrtiko. The wine is whole-cluster pressed and fermented in neutral 60- and 80-gallon French oak and stainless steel with native yeast, then aged 11 months with lees stirring.
