In the Los Alamos Valley, Rancho La Cuna is the Clendenen Family's small estate vineyard for cooler-climate varieties (a sister label to Au Bon Climat). This Chenin Blanc comes from nine-year-old vines, hand-harvested and whole-pressed, fermented in François Frères oak; after malolactic fermentation it is rested sur lie and aged a total of eight months in neutral French oak.
Tasting Notes
A refined bouquet of wildflowers, quince paste and roasted chestnuts; the palate offers lingering notes of lemon mousse and orange blossom, lively and layered with firm acidity that hints at further complexity with age.
