Profile & Story

Chacra was founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in the Rio Negro region of Patagonia, farmed organically and biodynamically. Barda is produced from the estate's youngest vineyards, planted in 1990 on slightly sandy, ungrafted, massale-selected vines, and fermented at low temperature in round cement tanks with natural, unfiltered indigenous yeasts.

Tasting Notes

Pure, minerally, and powerful, with concentrated flavors of red plum and dried raspberry, loaded with meaty notes. Sandalwood accents linger on a finish framed by caressing tannins.
