Castello di Volpaia is a historic estate in Radda, at the heart of the Chianti Classico zone - the oldest wine appellation in Italy, its boundaries first set by Grand Duke Cosimo III de' Medici in 1716. The estate's Chianti Classico DOCG is an organic wine made predominantly from Sangiovese, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged 12 months in 30-hectoliter oak casks.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of cherry and ripe berries mingle with earthy, herbal notes. The palate is dense and harmonious, with well-defined tannins balanced by lively acidity - elegance and finesse framed by a rich bouquet of red fruit and spice.
