Chateau Talbot, a 4th Growth Classified Growth of Saint-Julien in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, has been owned by the Cordier family since 1918 and is today run by Nancy Bignon-Cordier and Jean-Paul Bignon. The estate's vineyards extend over 111 hectares in a single block within the Saint-Julien appellation. The 2015 is a blend of roughly two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot, hand-harvested and aged 14 months in 50-60% new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Amiable and round even in its youth, always marked by silky, smooth tannins, with complex notes of Havana tobacco and licorice - deliciously classic without the slightest hint of austerity.
