Profile & Story
For ten generations the Bourgeois family has devoted itself to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, becoming Sancerre's best-known producer. Domaine Henri Bourgeois is now led by Jean-Marie and Remi Bourgeois from its base in the village of Chavignol, with holdings spread across a mosaic of plots in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume, each vinified separately to express its own Kimmeridgian marl, flint, or limestone-clay terroir.
Tasting Notes
Pale pink in color, with a nose of great finesse that is both floral and peppery, introducing a palate marked by notes of mandarin and wild strawberries; fresh, harmonious and surprisingly long on the finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Built for aperitifs and warm-weather dishes: Nicoise salad, light grilled meats, white pizza, light charcuterie, and Asian dishes such as chicken stir-fry or bo bun.
