Maison Louis Latour, founded in Beaune in 1797, has produced Burgundy wines for more than two centuries. This Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a regional appellation wine that can be sourced from anywhere in Burgundy, made from Pinot Noir, the grape native to the area, from vines averaging 25 years old grown on clay-and-limestone soil at an average yield of 50 hl/ha, and hand-picked. Fermentation is traditional, carried out in open vats, followed by 10 to 12 months of ageing in stainless steel vats. Maison Louis Latour's rigorous selection process yields a noble, full wine that shows the characteristics of the great Burgundy reds. The wine has a cellaring potential of 2-3 years and is best served at 14-15 degrees Celsius.
