Profile & Story

Olema is the sparkling and Provence-inspired sister label to Amici Cellars, and its wines are made to honor the provenance of their vineyard sources — this sparkling rose is grown and made in France's Loire Valley. To craft it, Olema's winemakers worked with a historical producer in the Angers region town of Brissac, a winery that has been in operation since 1872 and brings deep expertise in Cremant de Loire. The wine is made in the methode traditionnelle, with secondary fermentation in bottle and 12 months of ageing on the lees to build richness and complexity. It is a blend of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Grolleau, at 12.5% ABV.

Tasting Notes

A salmon color with tiny bubbles, opening into a dazzling, effervescent nose of rose petal, ripe strawberries and fresh cream, with a palate of delicate red fruits and a lovely, effusive texture, balancing bright acidity with rich flavor.
